East Aurora boys track team qualifies for the state meet

The members of the East Aurora boys track qualified for the state meet next weekend down in Charleston.  At the Joliet West sectionals, the 4x200m relay ran 1:29:59 and placed 7th overall. The relay was comprised of Aarrion Mitchell, Desmond Gant, Jamaria Littleton, and Latrell Lee. They became the first relay to qualify for the state meet since 2004 and currently ranks #1 on the all time best list. Also, their relay time was only .19 seconds of the school record of 1:29.4 set back in 1972. Desmond finished off the night by qualifying in the open 200m dash with a time of 22.17 and placed 3rd overall.  Last state qualifier in a open sprint event was back in 2005 and Desmond currently ranks #1 on the all time best list.
